To join our expanding national team of Power Maxed Approved Valeters you will first need to be part of the Professional Valeters & Detailers Trade Association (PVD). To be eligible for PVD you will need to go through their accreditation system which looks at:
Insurance – you will need a minimum of Public Liability and Accidental Damage cover, if you drive customer cars you will need a full trade policy, and if you operate out of a unit, you will need custody cover for cars in your care.
Skills – you will need to have sufficient training and experience for the services you offer. The requirements for those offering machine work and more advanced detailing services are greater than for those offering conventional valeting services. PVD offer a range of training and assessment options for those wishing to develop and update their skills.
Proven Track Record – you will need to have proof of satisfied clients that are both independent and also can be checked. PVD look at everything from your website to your social network interaction to ensure their members are as professional possible.
Sustainable – your business plan, marketing strategy, and pricing structure will be studied and assessed to ensure you have a long-term sustainable business. PVD can help and advise on developing the commercial aspect of your business if required.
Once you have joined PVD, the next step is to book into the next available Power Maxed training day, which will be held at the Power Maxed HQ in Warwickshire. Training sessions are held in small groups with highly experienced detailers on hand. The courses are hands on, you will be expected to demonstrate your skills and will be asked questions at the end.
